Storing Freeze Dried Candy
To maintain the crunchy texture of freeze-dried candy, it is recommended storing them in their original packaging, ensuring a tight seal with the zip lock mechanism. If storing them for a longer duration – should they even last that long, keep them in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight like a cupboard or pantry. While our food-grade Mylar bags provide some protection against environmental factors, for prolonged storage, using a plastic or glass airtight container is recommended. It's worth noting that properly stored freeze-dried food can remain viable for up to 25 years. However, it's crucial to minimize exposure to air and moisture, as they can compromise the quality of freeze-dried candy.
